Alex has had a wide range of architectural experience. During his 5 years at S.0.M. as a senior designer he was responsible for projects for such clients as Chemical Bank and Salomon Brothers in New York, as well as Chase Manhattan Bank with locations in New York, London and Yokohama. He designed projects that included branch banks, executive office suites, fitness centers, child care facilities, trading floors, dining facilities, open office spaces, and various other types of designs.
During his two years with H.O.L.T. Architects as a senior designer, Alex was predominantly involved with new building and building renovation work. Although he had the opportunity to work independently on several new residences, most of his work was related to housing and health care facilities. Alex worked on all phases of each project he developed, from the conceptual design phase through construction administration and contract close-out.
Alex worked on an extensive variety of projects during his two years at Raphael Vinoly Architects. The projects ranged from New York office towers and retail interiors to office interiors for Sumitomo Corporation in New York.

Diane's experience with Fred Thomas Associates was primarily dedicated to designing and preparing construction documents for educational facilities. The projects ranged in size, and because of Diane's artistic talent her responsibilities included preparing perspective presentations on a regular basis.
While working with Geoffrey Freeman Associates, Diane had the opportunity to begin her career in urban interiors. Her projects included a downtown New York 50's-style restaurant and bar. She also did a design for the New York Urban Coalition, her previous employer.
Diane's work with the New York Urban Coalition has been an invaluable resource for Naiztat + Ham Architects. The New York Urban Coalition is a private non-profit organization that develops, administrates, and manages housing projects for the city of New York. Through working with them, Diane was able to become familiar with various city agencies as well as project management procedures. Her duties at the Coalition varied from housing surveys to arranging construction bid openings.
As a partner with Naiztat + Ham, Diane is involved in all aspects of each project and is responsible for the client contracts, negotiations, project management, and construction administration. She works extensively on the conceptual design and design development of each project. Diane is also primarily responsible for all materials and finish selections, and has her hand in every project that comes into the office.

Robert graduated with a 5-year practicing bachelor's degree from Auburn University in 2004, where he was also accepted into the internationally renown Rural Studio Program. While working with a team of 3 peers at the Rural Studio, he designed and built a 6,000 sqare foot non-profit headquarters under the guidance of Samuel Mockbee and Andrew Freear.
Robert has also worked for several architectural firms, both in Alabama and in New York. He has worked on a large range of different projects, including a soccer stadium and a corporate campus. He has also designed for high-end residences, retail branches, and banking facilities before joining Naiztat + Ham Architects in 2006.

While still studying at North Carolina State University, Jessica spent a summer volunteering with Architecture for Humanity in Biloxi, Mississippi. She gained a wealth of knowledge about Gulf Coast vernacular architecture, disaster relief housing, affordable housing and community re-building. Jessica gained experience in construction and community planning.
While working with Shaw Design, a small firm in North Carolina, Jessica quickly became a valuable team member. She worked on various aspects of projects, including design development and construction. Jessica also gained an understanding of zoning and housing restrictions for North Carolina communities.
Jessica started with Naiztat + Ham in 2007, and quickly learned her way around the office and constructions sites of numerous projects. As a designer, she is learning more about urban building types as well as their subsequent methods of construction. She has been a part of all aspects of our design projects, from schematic to construction. Jessica continues to provide a valuable sense of design to the firm.

Marsha has had extensive experience as a graphic designer and proofreader, which started with her work as a proofreader at The Western Courier. While studying for her first degree, she was moved from the proofreading department to work with the advertising department as a typesetter and graphic designer. There, she was responsible for the creation and completion of all of the advertisements for the university newspaper and the management of two ad designers. Eventually, Marsha went on to work as a graphic designer for the citywide newspaper.
As the Office Manager at Naiztat + Ham Architects since 2005, Marsha has become an invaluable asset to the firm. She has a strong background in the use of various software and desktop publishing programs. Marsha has been able to grow and develop beyond her daily duties of running the office into an outstanding resource in the development and maintenece of presentation materials for the firm.
Marsha's responsibilites at Naiztat + Ham range from financial and accounting maintenence to the management of the architectural library of books and samples.
